Editorial policy

Life in Australia files official pages so you can read them yourself. A topic answer only restates what that topic’s introduction and the linked cards already say. It does not add a figure, a rate, or a rule that is not on those pages.

Each card is checked by opening its URL and reading whether the title and summary still match that page. If this site and the official page disagree, follow the official page. That rule is also on the disclaimer.

The review date is 24 October 2026. It is the day the index was last checked by hand, stored as LAST_CHECKED in lib/site.ts. Topic pages show it as Last reviewed. Cards show it as Checked. Change the date only after you open the official links again. Nothing on the site refreshes those pages automatically.

A commercial link is labelled Referral link and uses rel="sponsored nofollow noopener noreferrer". Ordinary external links use rel="noopener noreferrer". How commissions work, including Amazon Associates, is on the affiliate disclosure.

Links in the financial category stay off the site while SHOW_FINANCIAL_AFFILIATES is false. Banking and tax pages carry a general advice warning. A topic page is not a list of shops: referral links have to stay in the minority of the links on that topic.

There is no contact form on this version of the site. The contact page is a placeholder. Corrections are made in content/links.ts and content/topic-guides.ts.
